Food and Non-Food Items
We accept non-perishable food and non-food items such as: soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toilet paper, paper towels, disposable diapers and other toiletries. Due to a shortage of storage space, we are unable to accept clothes and other such items.
Monetary Donations and Gift Cards
Monetary donations and gift cards from food and office supply stores are always welcome.
Special Supplies
School supplies: In September we distribute packets of school supplies. Items needed are: looseleaf notebook paper, spiral notebooks, 2-pocket folders, black or blue pens, 8 count washable markers, 12 count colored pencils, #2 pencils, zippered pencil cases, 24 count crayons, erasers, glue and glue sticks, rulers marked in inches and centimeters and backpacks in all sizes. Donations of school supplies are always welcome.
Christmas gifts: The pantry collectstoy and money to purchase toys so our clients may choose gifts for their children 12 years and younger.
Additional gifts for children: We try to have additional small gifts for the children on the day of the Christmas distribution. Some years we are fortunate to be on the Marines' Toys for Tots list. Other years we depend on the generosity of our donors.
To donate please call the Pantry at 773-283-6296 or e-mail: info@irvingparkfoodpantry.org
All donations are tax deductable to the extent of the law. We are a not-for-profit 501(c3) organization.
