Referrals:

In addition to providing food to our clients, we are also able to refer them to other resources that may help them with their current situation.  There are a multitude of social service agencies in the city of Chicago.  Some of the places that we refer clients to are listed below:

Hands to Help: assists clients who are homeless or at risk of being homeless

Old Irving Park Community Clinic: provides free healthcare to eligible clients

Lutheran Social Services of Illinois: provides mental healthcare and other social services

Metropolitan Family Services: provides social services

The Salvation Army: provides a variety of social services

Catholic Charities: provide a variety of social services

Polish American Association: provides a variety of services to Polish speaking individuals.

CARA: provides job training

311Short-term Assistance Hotline: provides callers with a list of possible resources for such things as utility bills, rent assistance

City of Chicago Domestic Violence Hotline: provides assistance for those involved in domestic violence situations

Chicago Department of Human Services: provides a variety of services including the shelter system in the City of Chicago
